Somebody Speaks (Part One)

“Speak now or forever hold your peace” –Somebody speaks!
The story behind the biggest wedding of the year…

In a matter of seconds so much happens, your heart starts pounding and there is a look of fear on your face. Your hands shake and beads of sweat start to form on your fore-head. All you did is stand up with your hands shaking. It’s your last chance, and this time the whole room has eyes on you. There’s one special person standing in front of you. He is the only reason you are here, but he is not holding a smile as if to thank you for standing up, but a look of shock as to imitate the look on everybody’s else’s face, but you wouldn’t know because you are only looking at him.

You’re not supposed to be here… but here you are standing up in front of everyone. Rudely barging in on such a special occasion, but it’s just not His special occasion; it’s your best friends’ also… well… ex-best friend. Everyone who knows the story and is sitting in the room probably thinks you are crazy; after all, you are the one who introduced them.

But, when you finally get the courage to look at her, she has an applaud look on her face, probably since she un-invited you and somehow you are STILL managing to ruin the whole ceremony. You give her an I’m-so-sorry-but-I-have-to look and you don’t dare to keep looking at her to see her response. From that moment on, you don’t take your eyes off of him.

You feel your hands start to shake more and more, your heart keeps thumping, you could swear that everyone else could hear it. Evil glares continue throughout the room and finally breaking you from some nervousness the friend you came with grabs you hand in means for comfort, but you jump, startled. Usually that’s when everyone who happened to see (which is the whole room) would laugh, but everyone is still applaud at what is going on.

All of this happening in only a few seconds makes you start to wonder how you even got into this situation. It all started seven years ago back in high school, and it’s finally ending whether you want it to or not, with the words, “Speak now or forever hold your peace.”

The story started back in high school, and as the girls’ best friend I am the rightful person to tell it… Although I don’t know the entire story of each girl, and how one relationship failed and how the other grew, I can tell you the result because I was there the day of the wedding. You know the one that you heard about in all the newspapers… and were in the news that very week. I believe everyone should know the truth behind what happened that day. So I’m here to tell everyone all about it.

There those simple words were… the girl who knew how to make things happen, Charlie Basin added a little sentence onto a long message and it changed everything. A relationship was formed… a cute one. They balanced each other out. She was on the outgoing side and he was more relaxed, they seemed perfect for each other until one day it became too much. The story is unclear, but somewhere along the line they broke it off, and she ended up being the one that was hurt… or so I’ve been told, I still don’t know the story.
